The Yale Law School Center for Global Legal Challenges, directed by Professor Oona Hathaway, is convening a half-day conference on the legality of U.S. support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

Conference Objectives

The conference will bring together legal scholars and practitioners to discuss the implications of U.S. support under both domestic and international law.

Since 2015, a war has raged in Yemen between an alliance of local faction and a coalition of countries led by Saudi Arabia. The conflict has caused thousands of deaths, forced millions of people to flee their homes, and pushed the country to the brink of famine.
