Strum College of Law is presenting the seminar on prosecuting Military Sexual Assault Seminar on April 2.
Conference Objective
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and as a special presentation to law students, Maj. Kelly Antoine will be at SCOL to speak on sexual assault and sexual harassment in the military.
Much like the civilian world, sexual assault and sexual harassment in the military are influenced by rape culture, various obstacles to reporting, and low conviction rates.
Ms. Antoine will discuss how these issues play out in the military and some steps the military has taken to combat sexual harassment and sexual assault. Ms. Antoine will also share her own personal #metoo story and how that has impacted her advocacy within the military.
