The Patents and Innovation Group at Wilson Sonsini has an opening for a patent agent with backgrounds in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, material sciences, electrical engineering, computer science, bioinformatics, AI and machine learning, digital health, bioengineering, or bio mechanical engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Working with the firm’s clients in all aspects of patent prosecution.
- Evaluating invention disclosures, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, conducting landscape studies including analyzing third party patents.
Eligibility
- Patent agent with backgrounds in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, material sciences, electrical engineering, computer science, bioinformatics, AI and machine learning, digital health, bioengineering, or bio mechanical engineering.
- Previous law firm or industry experience is a plus.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range of $145,000 – $210,000, based on step level.
- Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
