About the Opportunity

Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company is seeking suitable candidates for the position of Legal Law Clerk summer intern. for their litigation department. The ideal candidate must be capable of performing a variety of clerkship duties for the department and must be understanding of legal terminology and local court/jurisdiction rules.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Intern

  • Conduct legal research and writing on legal issues in litigation.
  • Draft litigation documents for review by attorneys.
  • Attend for observation of hearings, depositions, and mediations of cases in litigation.
  • Timely complete required litigation tasks.
  • Perform tasks electronically in a paperless environment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Completion of 1L or 2L years of an accredited law schools.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office software and Professional Adobe or Nuance.
