About the Opportunity
The Legal Intern will assist the Legal Department with managing day-to-day legal affairs of the Seattle Seahawks and its affiliated entity, First & Goal Inc. This position can be structured as a paid (hourly) opportunity or as a for-credit internship/externship subject to ABA rules and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Intern
- Reviewing and drafting various agreements, waivers, consents and real estate and finance documents
- Conducting legal research (Lexis/Westlaw) and drafting research memos
- Working closely with business units to anticipate, identify and manage legal exposure
- Reviewing and drafting legal correspondence
- Assisting in the management of pending and open litigation matters and other claims
- Participating in special projects as requested
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school OR have graduated from an ABA accredited law school within the last year
- Must be available to work at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, WA no less than 40 hours per week during the Seattle Seahawks 2023 pre-season and regular season
- Must have authorization to work in the United States
Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong research, analytical and investigative skills
- Ability to conduct legal research (including through Lexis/Westlaw)
- Ability to document and present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent proofreading ability and very strong attention to detail
- Understanding of contract and legal terminology and concepts
- Well organized, positive attitude and a desire to learn new concepts
- Sound judgment and decision-making
- Ability to work independently, but comfortable working in a collaborative environment
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with broad range of individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- High level of personal integrity and professional ethics
- Honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments
Stipend
Hourly Rate: $21.25
