About the Internship

Ivko LLC is seeking interns who are in 3L or LLM for FALL 2023 to learn and assist with its daily legal/business operations in a hybrid mode.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Research legal issues, market trends, background information, sanctions and terrorist lists, and other fun stuff.
  • Assist with IP portfolio management, rights clearances, licensing, and related matters.
  • Provide arbitration, litigation, and mediation support.
  • Review and analyze agreements, deal memos, decks, forms, guidelines, letters, riders, and term sheets.
  • Champion tracking portfolios with a focus on IP, startup affairs, and dockets.
  • Assist with setting up nonprofits.
  • Memorialize meetings with clients.
  • Work closely with key team members.
  • Contribute to the firm’s press kit.

Required Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • 3L or LLM students.
  • Available for the entirety of the program duration.
  • Detail-oriented but concise writer and editor.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Thrive in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
  • Neither group projects nor solo assignments make you uncomfortable.
  • Proud of your organizational skills.
  • Passionate about your superb work product.

Candidates should have completed at least 3 of the following courses

  • IP courses.
  • Arbitration or dispute resolution courses.
  • Art/music/entertainment law.
  • Emerging technologies (crypto, NFT, metaverse, VR, AI, etc.).
  • Secured transactions.
  • Trusts and estates.
  • Nonprofit law.
  • Tax law.
  • Insurance law.
  • International law.
  • Advanced writing/research.
  • Advanced litigation.
  • Contract negotiation and drafting.
  • Motion picture financing.
  • Administrative law.
  • Regulatory courses (e.g., talent agencies, anti-money laundering laws, etc.).
  • Collective bargaining/union/labor/employment.
  • Business law.
  • Talent representation/management.
