About the Opportunity
This role is a hands-on opportunity to gain knowledge of the entertainment legal space by supporting the Director of Business & Legal Affairs. This role will heavily assist with contract drafting and reviewing for social media campaigns, representation agreements, podcast agreements, branded product agreements and more. This position gives an in depth look at negotiating and reviewing influencer marketing agreements for brands and agencies in industries such as fashion, beauty, beverage, automotive, food, and consumer goods.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Intern
- Assist in contract redlining, review and negotiation.
- Assist with updating agreements and contract templates both internal and external use.
- Work with talent managers to answer questions regarding contract issues.
- Draft demand letters and notices of claims.
- Communicate with talent’s counsel for negotiating new talent representation agreements.
- Manage schedule and calendar for supervisor (communicate with high level executives, schedule meetings and calls).
- Additional responsibilities as required.
Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
- Law Student – must be able to receive school credit.
- Superior communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively work with clients, as well as internal teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and extremely organized.
- Adherent to deadlines
- Digitally savvy, extremely hard-working, problem-solving and culturally aware.
- Strong desire to work with digital talent, brands, and agencies.
