About Fall 2022 Legal Internship
Legendary Entertainment, California is inviting applications for a Fall 2022 Legal Internship from law students enrolled in a JD program or a recent graduate of a law school.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analyzing and summarizing entertainment contracts related to the development, financing, production, and distribution of motion picture content.
- Drafting comprehensive legal memoranda on such topics as guild obligations, intellectual property, chain of title diligence and provisions within a contract.
- Learning the business deals and structures involved in film development, production, licensing and merchandising.
- Drafting and revising various contracts related to the development and production of motion pictures.
- Researching rights/obligations and other contractual issues and preparing analysis regarding the same.
- Observing contract negotiations and assisting with various special projects, as needed by supervising attorneys.
Eligibility for Fall 2022 Legal Internship
- Must be in at least the second year of a Juris Doctor (JD) program at an accredited law school taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Summer) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from law school within the past six (6) months and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have drafting experience
- Possess a strong interest in the business and legal side of feature filmmaking
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
