About the Role
Law interns assist the Sorenson Legal Department in the following areas:
- Commercial transactions and contract review
- Regulatory and Compliance
- Labour and Employment Law
- Data Privacy and Security
- Business counsel and advice to internal clients
Responsibilities
Legal interns gain meaningful experience by:
- Conducting legal research, analyzing and summarizing legal documents, such as contracts, and regulations, and providing recommendations to attorneys and legal personnel
- Drafting legal memoranda, agreements, contracts, and correspondence
- Attending and assisting attorneys in preparation for meetings with internal and external business partners and legal proceedings
- Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.
Qualifications
- Eligible students enrolled in an accredited law school
- Good organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- Good writing and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams
