About the Internship

Trident Seafoods is inviting applications from eligible candidates for its internship program in Seattle, Washington. The legal internship will be a part-time assignment, where the intern will be working 2-3 days per week for 8-10 weeks.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conducts research and provides support for various legal matters, including corporate governance, employment law, and commercial contracts.
  • Drafts memoranda, briefs, and other documents under the supervision of in-house counsel.
  • Assists in reviewing and editing contracts, including vendor agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Assists with regulatory compliance and drafting policies and procedures.
  • Assists in developing policies and procedures for the company to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Stays up to date with changes in laws and regulations related to the seafood industry.
  • Provides general support to the legal team as needed and performs administrative tasks, including maintaining legal files and databases, organizing documents, and conducting factual research.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a law school program and has completed at least one year of law school.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience or coursework in employment law, environmental law, administrative law, or relevant law firm or in-house legal experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in domestic/international business, regulated businesses, or the seafood industry.

Stipend

$25/Hour.

Duration of the Internship

8- 10 weeks.
