About the Opportunity

Mondelēz International is inviting applications from eligible candidates fluent in both English and Spanish for its legal internship in Miami, Florida.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assists with legal matters which include substantive areas of the law and will likely include special projects in Marketing and Advertising, Distribution Contracts, E-Commerce, Data Privacy, Litigation Reports, Regulatory Matters, Intellectual Property, Cross Border transactions, Contracts, and in general support to commercial matters, mainly around Latin American business and the USA.
  • Support special projects (mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures) across Latin America.
  • Provide legal support and coordinate corporate restructuring projects.
  • Assist in drafting and creating presentations and slides to support functional conversations in different fields.
  • Legal research; review legal documents for substance, readability, and technical correctness; edit and draft contracts
  • Develop risk assessments and mappings in certain current topics related to governance, projects, laws, and current political/ regulatory situations.
  • The individual will work under the direction of an in-house Mondelēz International attorney.

Required Qualifications

  • Current law student (2L or LLM).
  • Minimum GPA 3.0.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish. Portuguese a plus).
  • Strong Interest in Corporate Law.
  • Demonstrated Legal Research Skills.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and processes.

  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Good attitude and proactive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to distill complex information into simple terms.
  • Highly productive with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and change focus with shifting priorities.
