The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most far reaching, complex, and strict international privacy law ever enacted. Businesses across the globe that process personal data belonging to European residents are currently trying to understand exactly how the regulation applies to them and to ensure compliance by the May 25, 2018 deadline.

The GDPR will greatly affect the legal profession globally, and many Silicon Valley tech companies in particular. This symposium will examine the implications, challenges, and risks posed by the new European privacy law to businesses located in the United States.

This event is open to law students, SCU alumni, attorneys, and professionals.
