Role and Responsibilities
- Partner with Security, Engineering, Product, Design, and Corporate teams to assess potential privacy and security risks and regulatory requirements related to Adobe’s use of vendors, marketing and sales activities, and employee matters.
- Investigate and assess incidents, conduct incident analysis, evaluate legal responsibilities, advise on responses, and provide legal guidance on mitigation and remediation efforts as needed.
- Assist in developing and maintaining privacy policies and procedures as well as fact sheets and other communications materials.
- Review/draft a variety of agreements related to data, privacy and security, including vendor and customer agreements.
- Support Security teams in various projects related to security and/or privacy initiatives.
- Assist in developing training materials and providing training to employees on privacy-related obligations.
- Be a privacy evangelist inside Adobe to help grow our culture of privacy (e.g., represent the privacy team in product strategy and design sessions).
Eligibility for Associate Legal Counsel Job
- J.D. degree and active membership in at least one state bar preferred.
- Strong understanding and experience with domestic and global breach notification and security laws.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strategic problem solver with excellent legal and business judgment.
- A meticulous, business-friendly team player who can think creatively.
- Ability and interest to work on fast-paced investigations and incident response efforts while remaining calm under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a great sense of humor and commitment to professionalism.
- Experience working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
