About the Opportunity
Collective is searching for a well-rounded and motivated law student or recent graduate to join their team as a part-time legal intern. In this role, the intern will report to and partner directly with our General Counsel and business stakeholders to help establish Legal department operations for a fast-growing startup and optimize the performance of our small but mighty legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in financial technology and will be eager to learn about the latest legal developments in this rapidly growing field.
The intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters, including:
- Financial regulations.
- Technology law.
- Privacy & security.
- Intellectual property law.
- Commercial contracts.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Intern
- Provide legal research and writing assistance to the Legal Department.
- Assist with a variety of legal tasks, such as preparing and reviewing contracts, contract lifecycle management, conducting legal research, and creating form templates.
- Assist with the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents.
- Providing support to the legal team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
- Strong academic record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong research and writing skills.
Benefits
Compensation Range: $25-40 USD per hour depending on class year, qualifications and experience.
