The Center for the Protection of Intellectual Property (CPIP) at Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, has partnered with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to host the WIPO-CPIP Summer School on Intellectual Property.

Course Objectives

This exclusive, two-week summer course will be held in Arlington, Virginia—The course provides an  opportunity for students, professionals, and government officials to work with leading experts and gain a deeper knowledge of IP to advance their careers.

The course consists of lectures, case studies, simulation exercises, and group discussions on selected IP topics, with an orientation towards the interface between IP and other disciplines. A certificate of participation is awarded to participants who successfully complete the course requirements.

Registration Fees

  • Students from developing countries: $100
  • Professionals from developing countries: $200
  • Students from developed countries: $400
  • Professionals from developed countries: $600

Eligibility

The WIPO-CPIP Summer School on Intellectual Property is open to students, professionals, and government officials from any field of study or discipline. The course is designed for candidates who wish to obtain a deeper knowledge of IP.

Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Washington, D.C, as well as accommodation and living expenses during their participation in the course.
