About the Webinar
FMC Professional Solutions is organizing a webinar on ‘Label is the Law’ on August 11, 2023, from 2-3 PM. It is a one-hour training webinar that will cover the pesticide label and the various standard components that make up the label and why the label is the law.
As part of the label discussion, it will cover the importance of understanding the variables that may influence the application of pesticides and lead to drift and the importance of the pesticide application equipment and its delivery by applicators.
This will then transition into the criticality of equipment calibration for both liquid and granular. The points will make that equipment has to be calibrated to deliver the pesticide correctly and safely, and achieve results for LCO customers.
About the Speaker
Ken Hutto, Ph.D. Product Development Manager-Herbicides and Fungicides at FMC Global Specialty Solutions
Dr. Hutto, originally from Mississippi, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Auburn University. He returned to Mississippi for graduate school at Mississippi State University where he received his Master of Science and Ph.D. in Weed Science specializing in Turfgrass Weed Management.
After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Hutto began working for the University of Florida as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the West Florida Research and Education Center where he continued to conduct research in turfgrass science both from a pest management and cultural aspect.
In May 2007, Dr. Hutto joined FMC Global Specialty Solutions where he currently serves as Product Development Manager – Herbicides and Fungicides.
