Tulane Law School’s Summer Abroad Programs are open to Tulane Law students, students from international and other U.S. law schools, and practitioners. Our programs reflect more than 40 years’ experience, beginning in 1973 in Grenoble, France.
Long-established relationships with our partner universities have resulted from our expertise in designing and executing programs abroad. Over 7,200 law students from approximately 150 U.S. law schools have attended our programs, all of which are approved by the American Bar Association.
Students from our host institutions and other schools abroad also participate in many of our programs, adding a valuable dimension to classroom discussions, as well as first-hand knowledge of local and regional attractions. Each program, with its own personal touch, fosters a deep learning experience by immersing students in both the substance of their coursework and the culture of their host country.
In addition to interesting and well-taught courses, students can be confident they will find well organized and professionally run programs that offer extra-curricular activities, living accommodations, internships and faculty who will explore the surrounding culture with their students.
Through the years, both U.S. and international prominent scholars, practitioners, and prestigious federal judges have highlighted our faculty. From the U.S. Supreme Court alone, these have included Justices Harry Blackmun, Stephen Breyer, Ruth Ginsburg, Antonin Scalia, Samuel Alito, and former Chief Justice William Rehnquist.
The Tulane Summer Abroad experience will not only add to your résumé but will also broaden your horizons by providing networking opportunities and first-hand perspectives into other cultures.
