Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is currently seeking an intern to support the Corporate Legal Department. As an intern you will be learning key fundamental business skills.

Responsibilities:
In this internship the intern will assist the staff attorney in drafting and negotiating contracts and in making coverage determinations based on the language of the Company’s insurance policies and applicable law.
The intern will be invited to participate in conversations between the staff attorney and outside counsel regarding litigated coverage matters and may also perform legal research regarding those matters.
Qualifications:
No prior experience in contracts or coverage is required. Extensive training will be provided. However the candidate should have a strong aptitude for, and interest in, contracts and have good research and writing skills.
