About the Internship

Today’s Power Inc. is inviting applications from eligible candidates who have completed at least a year of law school for its legal internship program in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The Legal Intern is responsible for assisting TPI’s legal team in their daily operations. This role involves various aspects of law, including research, administration, grant writing and document processing. The Legal Intern will gain invaluable experience in the legal profession while contributing to our company’s ongoing initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drafts, and reviews legal agreements and other transactional documents.
  • Assists in grant writing to help secure additional funding for TPI.
  • Assists in advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different projects.
  • Provides support to the Finance Department related to the Company’s efforts to secure various project financing.
  • Assists in filing and reporting efforts related to federal and state regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains familiarity with laws, rules, regulations, and current developments relevant to the Company’s business.
  • Draft legal and miscellaneous correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis under the guidance of the General Counsel.

Required Qualification

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Law School.
  • Must have completed at least one year of law school.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or other legal setting is advantageous.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of legal terminologies and principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis is preferred.
